Why Us

The Learning Forum is a peer network for senior managers to share their practical experience and strategic insights in confidential roundtable forums. The new 2.0 Council is launching to become a high-trust and high-content forum bringing together senior people from line business units and their Info Technology partners who are responsible for 2.0 implementation in their organizations.    Other Learning Forums bring together the senior-most executives who are responsible for HR Strategy, Leadership Development, Workforce Planning, Total Rewards, HRIT and Innovation.

Why face-to-face meetings with peers?   Why not just attend a Conference?

  • A peer network is designed and managed to endure over time, sustaining ever-deeper levels of insight, trust, sharing
  • Peer-to-peer discussions in a safe environment help council members frame issues succinctly, powerfully, for senior management communications back home
  • While vendors and consultants often mask or play down the actual challenges in design, use and implementation, our members have no conflict of interest in revealing problems and less costly solutions
  • Candid "warts and all" ground truth from council meetings allows members to understand the full context, to anticipate common strategic and tactical barriers
  • Costs are reduced substantially and usability is increased, when proven processes, software and other tools are shared across the enterprise and existing IT systems are re-used

What makes our groups different?

  • Our cost of membership is below any similar senior-level peer group
  • The members determine the agendas, venues and ground rules
  • Dialogue is focused on seeking the ground truth, not the current fad or so-called “best practice”
  • You have option to stay connected between meetings and continuously share
  • You have access to the broader network of council members from over 100 large global companies
  • Consultants and vendors are only invited if members agree that they will add value
  • You gain the level of professional development that only comes by learning directly with peers
